As the assessor of Fremont County, it is my responsibility to discover, list and determine the fair market value of property within the county as required by the Wyoming Constitution and the legislature. Wyoming Statute 39-13-103 states “All taxable property shall be annually listed, valued and assessed for taxation in the county in which it is located and in the name of the owner of the property on January 1”. To accomplish this, we use industry accepted mass appraisal procedures and methodologies. Each year property characteristics and sales information is gathered and analyzed to determine the estimated fair market value of all property.
